Welcome to your April Celebrant Institute email, it's an April fuels day! Get it, there's lots of fuel for your celebrancy practice in here.
I love the word tsundoku.
Don't let your tsundoku get in the way of your awesomeness. I have so much recently. Every day of the week tsundoku poisons my brain, leaving me in a state of disrepair.
What is it? It's the Japanese word for describing that pile of books on your bedside table, or those links you've left open in your web browser. It's the combination of "pile up" and "read". I'm so guilty. I buy every book I think I like then read two pages of the old book I'm still reading and pass out at night after a long day of wrestling's four-year-old and a two-year-old in the Baja sun.
How do we tackle tsundoku? I Don’t know, we can't go around it (Or can we? Can we just donate the books to someone else's bedside table?). We can't go under it (I guess we could just keep on avoiding the pile). We have to go through it (is what they want is to believe!).
Regardless of how you're planning on dealing with it, here is this month's really good - honestly, I'm really proud of the work we've done - a collection of links for celebrants. Click a few, read, enjoy, and thank you for going out into the world and doing God's work this week, the work of celebrating people.
